Since it is the start of a new year, many are busy thinking about their very own resolutions to live by. Mostly, people go for the health resolutions since it has become a thing now. However, despite the high energy in following a healthier path, many tend to let the flame die after failing to keep up with their expectations after a month of exhausting and heavy exercises. Although this is true, losing hope in achieving a healthy lifestyle will never get you anywhere. Instead, find ways to regain a new energy to pursue and start a much manageable regimen.

If you think you are not able to keep up with your usual health resolutions, here are new and simple ways that you probably still don’t know:

• Start your day with a plank

Planking is simply easy and very efficient. Spending a minute or two on planking during the start of your day will be very beneficial once you make a habit of doing it. Plank first thing in the morning after you get out of bed; this will surely develop your core muscles and work your entire body. You’ll be surprised at how easily you sweat with just a minute of planking.

• Find your own buddy

It is easier to lose hope when you’re alone, unless if you’re a lone wolf. However, having a buddy with you during the hard and good times will make exercising fun and motivational. Also, having a friendly competition with a partner is a healthy way to keep your regimen ongoing. Moreover, being optimistic will never be a problem because someone will be rooting for you.

• Consume foods with Prebiotics and Probiotics

Foods that are rich in prebiotics and probiotics will do your body good internally. Prebiotics are found in foods that promote the growth of good bacteria in one’s guts; artichokes, asparagus, garlic, leeks, onions, and soybeans are rich in prebiotics. On the other hand, probiotics are taken from foods that repopulate the bacteria found in the intestine; kefir, kimchi, miso, sauerkraut, tempeh, yogurts are filled with probiotics. Once both of these are taken, overall health will improve significantly.

• Limit your Social Media Interaction and Be More Physically Active

People tend to spend more hours living virtually than in reality. The sad part is that this lifestyle has seriously affected our health! Instead of being active and spending the time to play sports, exercise, be socially able, more and more people are now becoming idle.

It is no secret that social media has become a great addiction to some. Hence, if you are one of those people who spend more hours surfing the internet, then it is high time that you consider changing this lifestyle. Have a set time and limit when to log in your social media accounts. You can do with just 3 hours or less of catching up on social media and spend the rest of your free time actively.

Staying healthy is a choice that many people tend to avoid making. But one way to have a healthier lifestyle is to develop a sense of self-love. It is finding value and worth in yourself. It means doing the things that you deserve and cutting off those that can harm you. And this includes having a healthy and happy life. If you develop self-love within yourself, it will be easier for you to make decisions like eating healthy and cutting bad habits.
