Well, it is a NEW year and if you are like most of us, you have sat down and thought about how you would love for your next year to turn out. Some of us, ( ok, me) even bought a lottery ticket, and guess what? Not even the money we spent on the ticket was recouped. But did that stop us from continuing with our dreams, wishes, and hopes? Of course not. We are really resilient and we march onward. Don’t oose your dream. Someone once said, “We create our own world by our thoughts.”
I too love to dream and every year I think about what I want to accomplish the following next twelve months. Once again, I wrote on paper the categories of which I think are important for me to become the person I would love to be. After writing the category headings, I then went back and filled in what I would like to go under each heading. I then took a good look at my list and thought about what is truly the one thing that can do the most good for people. But this time seemed different. For those of you who personally know me, you know I am a “people person”. I love trying to help people, although I have realized in my older age that you can’t help anyone unless they want to try to help themselves.
This year I want to do something different that I have squashed in me for many years. Ive decided I will not hold back any longer. I will tell it as I see it. I will not say something because it is politically correct or not say something that I am afraid will get me into trouble. What am I talking about? I am talking about my feelings, and facts about what is happening to the United States medical care. It is pathetic that we live in the best country in the world and have 3rd World Medical Care. It is now and has been driven for years around money, not the sick. There is billions of dollars given in a year for cancer research and we are no further curing cancer than we were 100 years ago. Think about it, its true.
For starters, please look closely at the following link:
You will find that the World Health Organization is the non-biased organization in the world that keeps records on what countries are doing better/worse than others. You will notice that the United States is no longer in the top 5, no longer in the top 10, nor are we in the top 25 best countries in the world for health care. We are now number 37. There are some Third World Countries above us.
I feel it is time we should start trying to learn from other countries and stop trying to put money and ego ahead of our American people. Its time the American people have a voice in their choice of health care, instead of the insurance companies or the government. This is supposed to be a free democratic country, not a dictatorship, communist, or socialist country.
We can not just lie around and do nothing and then when we get sick or a loved one gets sick, wish things were different.
My goal for the year 2018 is to get the word out that no one is hearing or listening too. We are too busy in our personal lives to hear or see what lies between the lines. We watch TV and see the fast food commercials, the cancer treatment centers that will fly you out to their facilities on their dime, the commercials about new arthritis medications that can relieve the arthritic pain but cause cancer, and many more. Its all about advertising and money making! My word for that is GREED. Please do not get me wrong, a business has to make money in order to stay open. What I am talking about is DECEPTION. We need someone to care! We all need to try to make a difference.
The difference can only start from first having awareness. My hopes for 2018 is to help bring about a little awareness. With a little awareness, you can do your own research and come to your own conclusions. Please do not willingly stay in the dark.
I want to thank all of you who have faithfully followed this site for the past few years. You are the ones that keep it going. Anything you would like for me to research and write about, please let me know. I will do my best to find the research and present it back to you.
May 2018 be your greatest year for good health, happiness, abundance, awareness, and peace of mind.
