You can get on the internet and find out all the great things about it. But sometimes they don’t always tell you the downside. So I want to caution you we do put our patients on melatonin because it’s great for sleep, but it’s also many studies that show that it does help fight cancer.
So yes, it can be a great thing, but too much melatonin can be a big problem. Also, melatonin is like a hormone that works on the pituitary gland and the cortisol levels. When you take it you should never take it earlier than 30 minutes before bedtime.
Do not take it during daylight, because that’s a problem. It can actually work against you and cause pituitary cancer.
