Hi, I’m Dr. Branyon with New Hope Unlimited. Thank you so much for being with me right now, I hope to give you great information for the time you’re spending with me. But today, I am kind of excited whenever I read good studies that I kind of really, really believe in and it hits home “See, I thought that might be true.” I always want to explain it to you. And when I’ve got a study to back it up, that’s good, because you know, science is everything. There’s either black and white, but there is a lot of grey that can’t be explained. But when it can be explained and said “this is correct,” or “this is not correct.” That’s very important for us to latch on to, especially in today’s world filled with cancer.
So cancer prevention, and cancer prevention is a word used. But that means several things in my book. It means for us healthy people who are struggling to keep from getting cancer, that’s important. But even for patients who have already got cancer, and are struggling with that diagnosis, cancer prevention is still wonderful news because it can prevent and help get rid of cancer. So anyway, to the point. I’m excited today, because the University of Toledo just published a new study on September. Well, it came out on September 26 2022, just a few days ago or a few weeks ago, but they decided that diets rich in refined fibre may increase liver cancer. Now, what does that quite mean? Because we’ve always heard, we need fibre, everybody needs fibre in their diet. And that is so very true. Good natural fibre actually helps metabolism. So man and of course helps us to poop. And believe me pooping is good. You don’t want that nasty, smelly, gaseous stuff up in there. So you want to poop all that out. So but let me tell you, Well, four years ago, the same research company, group of scientists, researchers from Toledo university, they, the same team published a paper in the journal sale. And they were looking at that as they were showing that. Sorry about that. I want you to get my train of thought. So I’m not. So I’m not adding words. I’m telling you exactly what it’s like.
But four years ago, the same team published a paper in the journal called cell, C-E-L-L. That found a high percentage of mice with immune system defects develop liver cancer after being fed a diet fortified with inulin. Now we need to make sure I got that correct. Because what is highly refined fibre it’s using basically lab grown commercialized, I’m going to call it lab grown inulin. So, the word inulin, you’ve heard inulin many times, so what is inulin? Inulin itself is a prebiotic. Yeah, I said prebiotic, not probiotic. We absolutely need probiotics. But you know, all of a sudden, the buzz word came around and all you need prebiotics before you take your probiotic. Hmm, okay. If pro inulin is a food, it is usually in the foods we eat. The good type of inulin. It’s in vegetables, fruits, and lots of good foods that God gave us to eat. And now I want to say, you know, God gave us the food. It’s not exactly as a pleasure. It was meant for medicine and to keep our cells, C-E-L-L-S alive, because they have to have the nutrients from the food and water to stay alive. But the inulin that is used in supplements is a little different story. Well, a big different story.
That inulin can come from, like I said lab grown or soaking chicory root. Either way, it’s not digestible. So that makes the refined fibre even worse. So, okay, let’s back up. There’s two types of fibres, there’s soluble and insoluble. Now the soluble is fermented by the gut into what they call short chain fatty acids, we need that, that’s a natural progression that we absolutely have to have. But now insoluble fibres are those fibres that pass through the digestive system unchanged. Now, let me remind you, the liver is over here sits up under our ribcage or sort of in the ribcage and under the ribcage on our right side. That liver is so very important to us. It is a detoxifier, everything we eat, spray, breed, lather on, anything. Everything has to go through the liver to get synthesized. It is our largest detoxifying organ in the body. Now, that’s very important. Any time you see alkaline phosphatase. Anything that ends in an A S E at the bottom at the end of a word is an enzyme, all of those enzymes are in that liver, fighting for you, eating up, dissolving, synthesizing everything. Everything. That’s what the liver does.
When we get compromised, when we fill it up full of as the new study shows, refined fibres, it gets it more compromised. And that can cause liver damage and liver failure, liver cancer, you don’t want that none of us wants that. So all fibres are not equal. Researchers found that high fibre does reduce the risk of liver cancer. That’s been known forever. But we’re not talking about the real good fibre. We’re talking about refined fibres. Now, where do we find refined fibres? Okay, oh, let’s say plant gums, or a lot of fillers, a lot of fillers, it’s in your supplements, that’s in your processed foods. Just even when you pulp your fruits and juices, you’re taking the good fibre out. So sometimes if you buy fibre, or whether you buy already concentrated depulped or whatever, they’ll put the refined fibres in there. Oh, it’s so important to get back to basics if we can. But the one thing that really hit me when I saw this study, the first thing that really jumped out at me is one of these pet peeves I have. And that pet peeve is fake meat. Yes, I said it. Fake meat. Oh, there’s two types. Meats now there’s more fake meats. No, there’s three types of meat that say it is animal meat which we’ve been used to for eons. Then there came along the plant based meats, you know, like the veggie burgers, and then there is now thanks to Bill Gates and a few others marketing. Well anyway, it’s called cell based meats C-E-L-L based, I always want to spell out cell, C-E-L-L. Because I learned that when I dictating something, it will come up as sales, like S-A-L-E-S, that’s the southern accent kind of that I can’t seem to get away from. I have to make sure you understand it is C-E-L-L okay. But cell based meats, I am absolutely 100% against. Before I get too further into that, this is a study that I’m talking about. Studies are very hard to read sometimes. So I found aarticle on the internet. And you can see this, if you can take a picture, or something that will get you there. This will give you some information, kind of in layman’s terms, so it makes it a lot easier to read. And it will tell you basically about this study. So
You can learn it yourself. I always tell our patients when I lecture, or two groups that I like to count, always believe me. I’m a human being, I’m a person, but I absolutely like science, research, studies. But I know that science can be black and white. And I know there’s a lot of grey. So I will tell our patients, science says this, there’s not enough science to back this up. And then every so often, I’ll say, it’s my opinion, because we all do need to get back to a little bit of common sense. We need to relearn how to use common sense. But I want you to look at that, so that you can read it, and not believe everything, I’m just saying, I’m just trying to give you enough to give you key elements in words to go out and hunt it and find it yourself. Believe me, though, you cannot believe everything on the internet. Now, I don’t like calling people down or anything like that. But I’m gonna have to, on this one to make my point. We all like veggie burgers, I’m okay with that. As long as it’s real true and not a lot of bad stuff in it. And not highly refined fibres. Refined fibres. Remember, that’s the key word. But now, I am going to call this company out. Please forgive me. And I hope it doesn’t get me in trouble. People tend to really want to get people who’re trying to do good and trouble because they don’t want to lose money and be saying it. But if you look on the internet, there is a booklet. Well, it’s not a booklet, I had to download it. But you will see. And this is the cover page that came out of thin black, of course. But this is the Beyond Meats: detailed comparison between a plant based and an animal based protein source, they are calling it plant based. But in the lab, I will say according to all of my research, it’s definitely different from a veggie burger. They will even tell you this is not a veggie burger. This is much better. Well, it’s got no animal protein in it. And the lab commercially grown fibres, which is the bad inulin and it is considered highly refined fibre, go through if you come across this and it’s there. It’s like 40-45 or 40-50 pages maybe, it will give you a whole, a whole index of everything. I think this was maybe something they had used to get past certain walls. I’m not sure exactly. Well, let me just say, you know how you hear all the time on the news.
Something’s coming up, and all the Congress is going in and they’re going to vote and when they go to vote, they have a whole stack of all these things. And the Congressman will say yes or no. And most of them will say yes. And then they’ll tell you, we didn’t even read it because we didn’t have time. It was so much. So it makes you wonder what made them decide that it’s okay for us to eat something that studies absolutely, not maybe, absolutely do show that it can cause cancers. So, I want to leave that with you to think about and I hope I haven’t upset anybody. I’m just trying to get the information out there. Because if somebody doesn’t get it out there, then we’re going to continue dying. Yes, I’m saying dying. You can look it up on the World Health Organization, you will see that there are 193 countries. I think it’s 193, or maybe just a few more countries in the world. And out of all of them, the United States has the highest cancer rates and deaths in the world. And the World Health Organization has declared the United States as an epidemic of cancers. I wonder why? Because only 2% According to the American Cancer Society and other studies, only 2% of all cancer in the US is caused by hereditary. So if 97-98% of the other cancers that’s causing this epidemic in the United States are not hereditary, then what is it from? Well, the studies are telling us, so we need to wake up. Please do your own research. Make up your own mind.
If you have to pray about it. If you have to meditate on it, whatever, but find the truth. And please tell your family because this is cancer prevention. We have to fight to stay healthy nowadays. And this is one of the ways to fight is to educate yourself. Please, I’m gonna beg you to stay away from cell-based fake meat. I hope you learned something today. And I’m thankful that you stayed with me this long. Please take care of yourself. Tell yourself out loud you love yourself and tell at least three people a day. You love them. You will be amazed at what that will do for you and your immune system. And for the other people. We need more compassion and love in today’s world. Thank you and I do love you even if I don’t know you. I do love you. Thank you for being with me.
