It’s important that people recognise what cancer patients can go through. One of those things it’s very important to recognise. Now, it is not for all cancer patients but some, but it can be very detrimental and that is called Cachexia. What Cachexia is what they call a waste in a waste syndrome. It is where at some point that the cancer patient can get very fatigued, has very little strength and energy. It’s depressed, no appetite whatsoever because they become anorexic and anemia. Well the body tries to do this homeostasis thing and tries to save itself. So they will lose fat cells and muscle cells and when that happens, they’re beginning to waste away. They need to be able to eat some protein, carbohydrates, fat cells to prevent all of this malnutrition.
