Our day to day activities present opportunities for us to suffer from stress – that’s a given. Stress is defined as “a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.”. When we overexert ourselves, or we are faced with circumstances we can’t seem to handle or overwhelm us, then we feel stressed.Managing stress is easy if you know what to do specifically when stress arrives right straight through your busy schedule. Relax. Indulge your body by relaxing yourself. Read a book, listen to upbeat music, and keep yourself from the thing brings or makes you feel stressed. Try relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or having simple breaks in between hard tasks.

Do things that bring you enjoyment. Make sure to have your own leisure time whether playing musical instruments or working on a hobby project to maximize your free time. Find your center as they say during your alone time. Go watch a movie or have yourself a nice treat to lighten your daily dose of stress.

Exercise. Make time for simple stretching and releasing that pent up stress. Include running in your weekly or daily exercise habits. Running makes you focus on certain things. Remember that physical activities play an important role in preventing and keeping yourself free from stress.

Express yourself. Talk, cry. laugh, rant when you need to with someone you trust with. Instead of bottling them up and keeping them in yourself. If something bothers you, you can let out your concerns in a nice, respectful and peaceful way. Voicing out what you feel in a situation will not build up any resentment within you that’ll cause you bothered feelings afterwards.

Time Management. This is a major reason for stress to anyone. Balancing your time on important matters is quite difficult, and you are not alone if you feel this way. When you are time pressured, it makes it hard to focus on what you are doing. Planning ahead is key to this problem.

Avoid unhealthy ways in coping with stress. Taking out your stress on others such as being angry, and resentful to the people around you may affect your personal connection with them. Also, avoid taking too much pills the will makes you fall asleep when having problems with sleeping. They might just cause you damage for the long run.  Avoid junk foods and binge-watching as they are better spent on productive endeavors.
