1. Get enough sleep.
Migraine can be triggered by too little or too much sleep. You have to make sure that you are getting enough sleep. Creating a sleep and wake pattern may help you avoid this. In some cases when you get disturbed in the middle of your sleep, this may also result to simple headache or migraine attack so ask your family members not to wake you up or not to make any noise as you sleep (unless it is an emergency).

2. Avoid stress.

Stress causes migraine. As much as possible, avoid being stressed out. If you are loaded with work, take the time to walk away from your desk. Have a chat with your co-workers during break. Have a good laugh so you are feeling good by the time you go back to your work desk. You may also consider taking a short walk and listening to relaxing music. Not only you are keeping yourself away from migraine but you are also giving your mind the opportunity to refresh.

3. Perform some exercise routines every day.

Start your day with exercises. These will give you the energy you need to keep you going throughout the day, as well as boost your brain to make you more alert all day. About your migraine, performing moderate exercises may minimize its number of attacks, as well as the severity of pain being experienced.

4. Avoid or reduce your intake of alcohol.

Beer, red wine and other alcoholic beverages may trigger migraine and cause nausea. Reduce your consumption or totally avoid them.

5. Watch what you eat.

It is important that you keep away from food that starts migraine. Some physicians suggest a diet that is low in tyramine, which is found in chocolate, cultured dairy products, peanuts and others. Likewise, never skip any meal.

If none of these lifestyle changes prevents you from suffering from migraine, you will have to consult with your doctor. He can prescribe you with drugs to ease the pain every time it attacks so you can continue with your tasks for the day. He may also ask you to monitor it so he will know what triggers your migraine and what the best approach for your condition is.
