Acid or Alkaline: the importance of pH monitoring

One of the most important things you can do to stay healthy or restore your health is to make your biological terrain more alkaline. There is much science and studies to prove this. The ideal goal is to keep your salivary pH around 6.6 to 6.8.

In todays fallen economy, we all need to be careful with our stress levels and watch our diets. Poor diet, stress, and toxins of many types all make the body acidic. When our body becomes acidic, waste elimination is impaired and toxins build up. This may bring about deterioration of our immune system which sets the stage for viruses, bacterias and much worse to occur. It sets the stage for illness.

There are many toxic emotions which can make our body more acidic. Toxic emotions can consist of emotions such as fear, worry, anger, frustration, and resentment. It has been said that heart disease is the silent killer. I believe that stress is the silent killer. Psychological stress can harm the body as much as the disease itself. It opens the way for the immune system to become stress which in turn opens the door for high blood pressure, stroke, heart disease and possibly even cancer.

Dr. Theodore Baroody writes in his book Alkalize or Die about how the positive emotions help alkalinize the body.

The easiest way to monitor your pH is in the saliva. Always wash your mouth out with warm water after meals and after brushing your teeth. Tear a small piece of pH paper from the roll and let it soak for 10 to 15 seconds in the saliva in your mouth. You can buy pH paper from your local health food store. Immediately compare the color of the paper with the pH chart on the roll of the pH paper container.  Remember the ideal pH is 6.6 to 6.8.

Try checking your pH when you are worried or angry. Also check it when you are happy or after you’ve had prayer or meditation.
